Students - How to Enroll... |
|
|
Currently programs are open only to students of institutions offering the program. Classes meet for 45 to 55 minutes per day (a period hour) at the school or college and follow the institution's normal class times (i.e. 8:00am-8:50am or 9:00am-9:50am, etc.). Workshops such as the MCAT/LSAT/GRE prep program, are usually from 2 to 3 hours long. Our courses customarily run five days a week, Monday through Friday - exceptions will be noted. For the Academic Skills programs (Reading Rate & Comprehension and Reading & Study Skills), students bring a paperback novel to class the first day since it will be used to assess current reading speed. It should be a book that has not been read and something that is considered "light reading". A text reading, provided by Learning Skills-Correct Read will also be administered in that first class session to determine text reading rate and comprehension for more complex material. In addition, plan on bringing to class any school textbooks that are in current use. Our instructors will show how to find the key information in any type of textbook; therefore we suggest you bring any texts that you may have difficulty understanding. This application forms the basis of the comprehension skills required by the Graduate Exams.
